Background: The Atlantic is part of America's great literary legacy. Founded in 1857 in Boston's blossoming cultural landscape, it initially launched as a regional magazine but quickly gained national traction. Its pages were a paved pathway for new writers and poets, largely because it was founded by a lit lover's dream team, including Harriet Beecher Stowe, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and Ralph Waldo Emerson.
Fast forward to the now, and The Atlantic has not only retained its lofty reputation, but also broadened its editorial content to foreign affairs, politics, the economy and the cultural trends that incite conversation and engage thought leaders.
