Elisabeth Hasselbeck leaves The View for Fox & Friends. Tearful goodbye? Check: "Barbara, I did some math last night, and I think that I have had over 3,000 days working by your side, I think it is fair to say that over the course of the decade, I have attended the Barbara Walters school of broadcasting and journalism," the co-host said. Sherri Shepard is "really depressed" about the news but is looking forward to working with Jenny McCarthy, who has been tossed about as Hasselbeck's possible replacement. Barbara Walters and Joy Behar are also moving on from the ABC show in the near future. At Fox, Hasselbeck replaces Gretchen Carlson, who is getting her very own program. Changes, changes...

New York Times executive editor Jill Abramson is shaking things up on the masthead. National editor Sam Sifton will be leaving his post to lead a new project on the digital side, described by Abramson as "an immersive digital magazine experience, a lean back read that will include new, multimedia narratives in the tradition of Snow Fall." We look forward to it! Alison Mitchell gets bumped up to national editor from weekend editor. Larry Ingrassia and Ian Fisher will become assistant managing editors with a focus on digital, while Aron Pilhofer and Steve Duenes are the new associate managing editors. Meanwhile, The New York Times Magazine says goodbye to Andrew Goldman, the man who wrote the popular -- and occasionally controversial -- weekly Q&A feature...

"All of us at NBCU are so excited about this new show with Meredith," Ted Harbert, chairman of NBC Broadcasting, said in a statement...
