Bloomberg Snags IPG Mediabrands CEO; Jill Abramson to Teach at Harvard

Jill Abramson moves from one venerated institution to another. The former executive editor of The New York Times, who was fired last month by the paper's publisher Arthur Sulzberger Jr., will teach courses in narrative nonfiction at Harvard as a visiting lecturer in the Department of English. "I'm honored and excited to be teaching at Harvard in the coming academic year," she said. "Narrative nonfiction journalism is more important than ever. Its traditions and how it is changing in the digital transition are fascinating areas of study." Abramson, a 1976 Harvard graduate, has teaching experience at both Yale and Princeton, where she led journalism seminars...

Bloomberg Media continues to staff up, grabbing IPG Mediabrands CEO Jacki Kelley as COO. "This is a coup for our organization.
