Chelsea Clinton Leaves NBC News; The View Snags Bill Wolff as New EP

Bill Wolff finds himself with a new View. The former Rachel Maddow executive producer signs on to head up the re-vamped ABC show. "I am so appreciative for the privilege to work on this iconic program and to have the chance to collaborate with incredible people like Whoopi and Rosie, who each bring immense talent and boundless passion to show," he said in a statement. Brian Balthazar, Ashley Gorman and Kathleen Rajsp join as co-executive producer, director and senior supervising producer. No one knows who will take over the two remaining anchor chairs, but expect that announcement soon now that Wolff is installed in the top spot...

Vice Sports continues to grow, recruiting Eric Nusbaum as deputy editor and adding Aaron Gordon as staff writer. New editor-in-chief Tomas Rios has a budget and he isn't afraid to use it... BuzzFeed poaches Noah Chestnut from The New Republic to head up the development of its news app. At TNR, Chestnut worked on the World Cup Goal Posts blog, among other products... The Daily Meal hires Alanna Stang, who previously worked as EIC of Whole Living, to be director of editorial strategy and development. She turned around and grabbed six new staffers... Elsewhere in the food world, Cooking Light snags Hunter Lewis as editor. He previously worked as a chef in Jonathan Waxman's kitchen and most recently was executive editor at Southern Living... Rebecca Nelson leaves the Washingtonian, where she had been assistant editor, for the National Journal. She's the newest staff correspondent covering the political beat...

Chelsea Clinton is leaving NBC News. She joined the network in 2011 and has been a contributor for NBC Nightly News and Rock Center. "To continue focusing on my work at the Clinton Foundation and as Marc and I look forward to welcoming our first child, I have decided to leave my position," Clinton wrote on Facebook... Betsy Fischer Martin, the managing editor of political programming at NBC News, is also leaving the network after more than 20 years. The former executive producer of Meet the Press has not said what her future plans are... Jenny Groom gets a promotion at NBC to SVP of alternative programming and development. Not bad for someone who started as a page in 2003... Fusion hires Jonathan Stern as vice president of business development. "Fusion needs to be everywhere our audience is and Jonathan will play a key strategic role in helping us achieve that," network CEO Isaac Lee said of the man who previously worked at Red Bull Media... Clear Channel Outdoors sends Suzanne Grimes packing after a little more than a year and a half as president and chief operating officer. She previously worked at Reader's Digest and Conde Nast... Kim Segal leaves CNN to be a public defender in Broward County...

Former New York Times and Dow Jones PR man Robert Christie will serve as Alibaba's guy in the United States, taking the role as vice president of international media. He had been managing director in Burson-Marsteller's New York office and will move to San Francisco for the job... And there are changes at Saatchi & Saatchi, Adventure Cyclist and more...
