The buzz in magazine circles this week centered on lad magazines, a sentence which we never thought we would write again. But behold: former Maxim editor-in-chief Keith Blanchard and its very recently departed executive editor Charles Coxe have apparently resurfaced at Bauer Publications with Blanchard's prototype for "Bullet," a cross between a traditional lad mag and a celebrity weekly. (They're huge in the U.K. right now, trust us.) But they haven't gotten much traction there yet. Meanwhile, FHM's British parent, Emap, is reportedly considering selling the magazine to Hearst, or at least striking ...
The How to Pitch series is worth its weight in gold. In just the first month I'd already benefited enough to consider the cost of joining well worth it.
