How To Pitch: Bridal Guide

Help budget-minded brides on their big day with well-researched service features

- October 25, 2012

The information in this article is current and accurate.

Circulation: 200,000
Frequency: Bimonthly
Special issues: Trends (Jan/Feb), Honeymoon & Destination Weddings (March/April), Budget (May/June), Reception (July/August), special "Your Home" section (Sept/Oct), and "Real Weddings" (Nov/Dec)

Background: Over the past 20 years, Bridal Guide has grown from the how-to guide for those who say 'I do' into "America's Most Read Bridal Magazine." Since the magazine was started in 1988 by RFP, LLC, it has undergone very few changes. In the pages of Bridal Guide, soon-to-be brides can always find current bridal trends in beauty, home design, fashion, honeymoons, wedding planning, social issues and budgeting, all delivered in a conversational and authoritative tone. "We're the brides' best friend. We're offering really smart advice and saving her money," said Diane Forden, editor-in-chief.

Brides trust the information they receive in Bridal Guide, as one copy gets passed to approximately 30 readers. From initial planning to honeymoon, Bridal Guide helps women aged 18-34 through the hectic wedding process. "We understand, too, that not every couple can afford a celebrity-style wedding so we offer inspirational ideas along with affordable ways to make their wedding fantasies come true," Forden said. To illustrate, the November/December 2012 issue offers 101 budget tips and cost-cutting DIY ideas.
