What they don't do is regurgitate the same dried-up information or boring interviews with mainstream artists who have been hashed and rehashed and hashed some more in other publications. Operating more like the Anderson Coopers of music journalism because of their determination to be first on the scene, the mag has a strong tradition of pro-reportage, pro-cultural and socially relevant coverage.
