A trio of blockbuster moves rattled the book publishing industry yesterday and set the revolving door spinning at Random House in particular. Executive editor-in-chief Daniel Menaker is leaving four years after he was summoned to retain the patina of sophistication that publisher Gina Centrello feared would rub off after ousting Ann Godoff.
