HuffPo Launches Investigative Arm; NYT Shutters 'City' Section

The Huffington Post becomes the latest outfit to try to save investigative journalism: The Web site will launch the Huffington Post Investigative Fund in conjunction with The Atlantic Philanthropies. NYU professor Jay Rosen will serve as a senior adviser to the organization, which will have an initial budget of $1.75 million. Rosen previously helped develop OffTheBus, HuffPo's foray into citizen journalism. He'll help the 10 new staffers coordinate stories with freelancers and keep things running smoothly...
