Piers Morgan's new show has an executive producer: Jonathan Wald will fill the role when the show replaces Larry King Live in January 2011. Most recently, he's served as an advisor to AOL on cross-platform programming, but cut his teeth at 30 Rock where he was executive producer of Today and Nightly News before serving as senior vice president of CNBC. American Media is running out of money. The publisher of National Enquirer plans to restructure its debt by filing for Chapter 11 within the next two weeks. The company's head David Pecker tried desperately to secure a deal, but creditors didn't approve of his plans... Former Washington Times senior White House correspondent Joseph Curl surfaces as editor of Drudge Report... Three longtime associates of persona non grata Randy Michaels resign from Tribune Co.: Tribune interactive president Marc Chase, SVP and chief operating officer Jeff Kapugi, and EVP Carolyn Gilbert... Rodale folds Mountain Bike into Bicycling. The book had been published as a bimonthly supplement to the magazine it's now a part of. She had been project manager at AKQA...

Despite the recent success of his company, Christopher Slowe leaves Reddit for Hipmunk. He'll rejoin Reddit co-founder Steve Hufftman at the "highly touted Y-Combinator startup." The surprising move, which comes at a time when Reddit has enjoyed record traffic while competitor Digg flounders, is another sign that the relationship between Reddit and Condé Nast isn't as rosy as they would have you believe. The general perception is that the publishing giant won't provide the startup with the resources it needs... Citysearch shuts down existing editorial operations across the country. According to an internal memo, parent company CityGrid Media "will be evolving Citysearch in-market editorial operations to a local freelance network model."...
