For most people, the announcement of Google+, followed by its unhurried drip into the Internet community, came with an undercurrent of expectation and more questions than answers. Would behemoth Google strike again, wiping clean the longstanding followings of Facebook and Twitter? The project, which launched in summer 2011, is admittedly still in its early stages. Touting the inherent ease of use and minimal design that Google has long been loved for, Google+ is an extension (in social network form) of the search engine giant. And, while many early adopters praised the platform as the end-all-be-all, the majority of Web savvy folks are still tinkering with the tool.
