Is everyone back from the beach yet? This week it's slow going thus far, except over at VNU, where the company has axed 26 staffers from its Billboard Information Group, which includes Billboard and new acquisition Radio & Records. It's the latter that took the brunt of the cuts (19 of the 26 in question), but one of the victims at the flagship was 21-year veteran executive editor Ken Schlager... The corporation also announced that VNU Business Media CEO Mike Marchesano has been bumped up to "chief transformation officer" of the parent company, while Robert Krakoff moves in as CEO...
