It's no secret that Columbia J-School dean Nicholas Lemann isn't down with online journalism (he said as much a few weeks back in The New Yorker) but it's still a little surprising that he apparently thinks so little of the medium that he cut the budget of the Columbia Journalism Review's own Web site in favor of a direct mail campaign for the print magazine (how old-school!) As a result, both Steve Lovelady, the managing editor of the site, and his deputy Bryan Keefer have resigned in protest. But, uh, don't count ...
