CNet Podcast Hits No. 1,000CNET is celebrating the 1,000th episode of its "Buzz Out Loud" (BOL) podcast today at at 10:30 a.m. PST from its San Francisco studios, viewable live online. In addition to the standard topics of the day, the cast will revisit some of the funniest and most key moments from the past 1,000 episodes. "Four years ago, we started BOL in order to carry on a conversation with our audience about technology in what was then a brand new format, podcasting," said Tom Merritt, executive editor and co-host of BOL. After the live streaming event, the BOL crew will host a meet-and-greet at 7 p.m..Details on the get-together can be found at the Buzz Out Loud blog. Otherwise known as "CNET's podcast of indeterminate length," BOL debuted March 2005 as a weekly five-minute podcast, back before the company was owned by CBS.
