Ma joins the likes of CNN's Christiane Amanpour, USC j-school director Geneva Overholser, and award-winning journalist Hodding Carter on the 19-member board, whose goal is to help CPI promote "transparency, accountability, and the health of our democracy." In its description of Ma's credits, CPI cites the fact that YouTube is the third most-visited site on the Web, Ma's launching of Project: Report last year, and her participation in YouTube's Politics efforts during the 2008 campaign. (Had the summary been printed a few days later, it might also have included these recently announced YouTube projects: The Reporters Center and the YouTube/Google News video partnership program with news-gathering organizations.)
