Hey there,

Does anyone know specifically what kind of perks/benefits are offered at Time Inc. & Hearst (discounts, cafeteria, medical & dental carriers, gym discount). I am here at Conde, and I am trying to compare.

What about Conde?
I've heard Time has fabulous benefits, including great vacation. Why do you want to leave Conde? I've heard that once you're there, you never leave. By the way, how much vaca do you get there?

Hearst has ...

Tuition assistance:
Courses related to current position at 100%.
Courses "career related" reimbursed at 50%.
$5,000 annual cap.

$500 referral reward.

$300 per year gym reimbursement (access to Hearst tower gym, so you'd pay the difference).

The new Hearst tower cafeteria.

And the pay is pretty darn good.

Whats the entry level salary like at Conde? Can a receptionist gig turn into something promising, or is it a waste of time?

I freelance/temp at Conde (for the past 2 months). I am not entry level, so I don't know what the salaries are like; except, I do know someone who just got an Executive Assistant position here at Conde, and she makes $45,000.00 (I think she also gets overtime)

Thanks for that. Do you know whether they are good with promoting from within or whether a receptionist gig would be woth considering to get my foot in the door

They will always promote from within. Someone else I know here at Conde, who temps, just got passed over for a job, because they decide to go with someone, who already worked for the company. You really need to becareful with the receptionist position. I just feel, it may typecast you, as always being a receptionist.
