Hello All,

I am trying to place an 800 word humor piece about Baby Shiloh. No, it hasn't been done--yet. It satirizes a very common aspect of modern parenting in a lightly snarky way.
Any thoughts? Anyone?

It really depends on the tone of the piece and the style of humor. A parenting humor piece, generically, could fit in women's magazines, parenting magazines, and newspapers, for starters.

well, Shiloh is in today's news as Madame Tussaud's first wax baby! Maybe you sell it as an Op-Ed?

It took me three blinks and a painfully long blank stare to figure out why Shiloh Pitt was being used as a critique.

I quit, humor is not for me. Thanks for ruining my life.

The last page in Babytalk magazine is a humour page. Forgot what it is called. Might want to try there.

Shiloh humor piece
Try Thersday, the women's section in the Daily News or the lifestyle section of the NY Post. Since the madame tussauds thing just happened peg it to that but do it fast. I'd e-mail a query or the whole piece to either editor.

Good idea, thank you. I am waiting for a pitch reply now-will post if accepted. This was my first post and I appreciate the responses. Not to sound sappy, but I owe all my clips and query success to MB--great place for publishing virgins!
