This falls under the heading of personal opinion--so do not "flame" me.
Every morning at 10am I grab a cup and get my Daryn Kagan fix. I am saddened she is leaving CNN. As a former reporter in major markets, including NYC, I found her to be a journalist who could think fast on her feet. Her interviews were incisive and no-nonsense. She was superb during the DC Sniper run-up and aftermath. Interviewees never rode roughshod over her. My question: what is wrong with Jon Klein? I can't blame him for Leon Harris, but what about Bill Hemmer? And, now Daryn, too? What is CNN thinking? I will not share my coffee break with some vapid yahoo with lots of teeth, hair and whose knowledge is based on "TV News: The Cliff Notes."
CNN you are toast...

I agree. Bill Hemmer was a major loss to CNN
But, I never really felt the same way about Daryn Kagan. I always felt she was looking down her nose at the viewers. Never picked up the positive things you just mentioned. I guess we all have our own likes and dislikes.

Maybe she can replace Star Jones on The View.

Okay if Daryn Kagan was on the View that would be like having Faulkner writing for US Weekly.

Pearls before Barbara Walters :)

No, it would be like having a stupid bitch on The View, which is the natural order of things. Search Kagan on mediamatters.org; she's horrid.
