| nellie bly | Posted 2/8/2007 9:35:32 AM | show profile there was an article on the web the other day that the launch has been delayed. It said the couple who are publishing it own a newspaper--if I recall correctly it was in NJ--and the husband got the idea when he saw someone crying over an obit of somebody famous. |

| HisGirlFriday | Posted 3/26/2007 10:44:30 AM | show profile writesonwater; if you love obits - check out "The Last Word: The New York Times book of obituaries and farewells." by Marvin Siegel. It's brilliant. |
| ninian.reid | Posted 4/1/2007 4:18:02 PM | show profile It's a great idea; I'm simply dying to read it. Incidentally , here in Britain , we have an obituary programme on BBC Radio Five Live called "Brief Lives". Perhaps it's an age thing , but obituaries (of the rich , famous, and infamous) are almost the first thing I turn to in my daily newspaper. Morbid ? I think not. I just like to celebrate a distinguished or interesting life I hadn't previously known about. This publication could really take off. |
