Hi guys,

Odd question, maybe but if you're just starting an agency, are there any permits that you need to practice?

You'll need the standard permits required of any business, technically. In most states, if you're operating a business in a name other than your own -- even if it's just a sole proprietorship -- you need to get a business license. Often, this is done through your county clerk. That involves nothing more than filling out a form from a legal stationary provider like Blumberg, having it notarized and filed.

Check your main state government Web site. Often, they have a section that details doing business in the state that lays out the requirements.
