| See ya, San Diego | Posted 2/23/2007 2:37:54 AM | show profile | email poster So the time has come to make a move to the big city. The idea has been floating around my head for a while now, but my fiance has a career opportunity in LA that is making the move a reality. I'm looking for insight into some medium-to-large agencies in the area. I've already looked into the big guys - GolinHaris, Ketchum, Edelman, Fleishman, BNC, etc. - and would love to learn about other opportunities (or tips on how to break in with these agencies). A little about myself: I currently work at a boutique agency in San Diego and focus on consumer products. I also have experience in sports/entertainment as well as a little corporate PR. I've only been in the agency setting for a little over a year but have several years of PR, communications and marketing experience. I've also got a pretty decent contact list and portfolio (top 50 dailies, family/parenting, a few men's interest and trade pubs). If anyone knows of some companies that might be a fit, or have some suggestions on how to break into the larger agencies, my ears are open. And if you have specific questions feel free to reach me offline. Thanks in advance! |
