I would recommend:

Dr. Diana M. Del Valle, MD
Chelsea Ear, Nose & Throat
160 West 18th Street
212-366-0848

She was pretty good. I had an early afternoon appointment and had a question when I got home late in the evening, and she actually called me back from home.

outstanding specialist
Dr. Benjamin Ascher is a board-certified ear, nose, and throat specialist who uses a natural, integrative approach to treatment. He is very intelligent and resourceful in prescribing effective natural therapies and thus avoiding negative side effects and surgical procedures.

Many actors and singers go to him to preserve and enhance their vocal capabilities.

Michael Setzen, MD.
He's affiliated with New York Eye and Ear and practices in Manhasset. If you go by lists, he's among New York's Best, according to Castle Connolly's guide which New York Magazine uses to base it's opinion.

But, more importantly, you should be more specific in your recommendation. Like many specialities, ENT has become very sub-specialized. For example, my 25 year old son recently had an ear perforation that needed to be repaired with surgery. Within Dr. Setzen's practice there is an "ear specialist." The doctor who did his surgery is Alexander Sorin.

Good luck.
