I am a writer at a national business magazine in search of deaf or hearing-impaired entrepreneurs. Please e-mail immediately!

This may or may not help you - I know there is a lawyer in NJ who does a lot of discrimination cases for deaf people and she is active in the "deaf community," her parents were deaf, etc. Her name is Clara Smit. She might know someone or could point you in the right direction.

Might check with any national organization for the deaf, perhaps for board members. Also, with deaf university - Galaudette? -- for distinguished alumni or business school grads ...

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but Madeleine Kirsch, owner of C. Madeleine's in North Miami Beach, FL is hearing impaired and overcame it (don't remember the exact procedure.) her website is cmadeleines.com. Hope that helps!
