I mean, they claim they were separated and blindfolded and that's why they performed like dancing puppets for Iranian TV. I mean, boo hoo. That aussie slacker David Hicks survived years in Gitmo before they got a coerced confession out of him. And the Brits are PROFESSIONAL SOLDIERS. Presumably they're trained on what to do when you're captured and one of those things isn't to go on TV and say, 'yeah, we were wrong. the iranians are great hosts.' Being blindfoled and have the genders separated doesn't seem very unforseen. And if that's the case even, the British haven't explained when the video was shot with them all together chowing down. They certainly had to be all together then, and the woman, who claims she was told that everyone had already been shipped back to England and she'd have to live out her life in burkaland, would have known that then. Instead, she was seen smoking a goddam cigarette and mouthing the iranian party line. And then they all get swag bags and return to the UK telling the media of their harrowing experience. I wonder if John McCain could relate. |

I thought you were giving your opinion on a situation in which you had *no* practical knowledge. Please, don't let me hamper your off-handed judgment and condemnation of these soldiers, since you're obviously both quite knowledgeable and experienced at being in hostage situations. |
