Topic: Freelance book copyediting rate??

I'm a copyeditor at a magazine, and a coworker has asked me to copyedit her book. It is 50,000 words/9 chapters. The writer has asked me to set my rate, but I have no idea what to ask for since this is the first time I've freelance copyedited. Should I ask for an hourly rate or just a lump sum? How much??
