| eellington | Posted 5/30/2007 7:25:16 PM | show profile | email poster My name is Ed Ellington, and I am a casting producer for Ricochet Television in Los Angeles. The show brings friends, lovers, etc. to the Alaskan wilderness where they are taught to live "off the land" like their ancestors. The documentary series will be aired on a high-profile national cable channel. Please visit www.thealaskaexperiment.com for more information and to request an application. | Nikongirl | Posted 5/31/2007 12:04:20 AM | show profile 1.2. I think you luvvvvvv Jazz. Yer always referring to Jazz. Jazz this Jazz that. It does not matter than you speak negatively of Jazz, that you continually talk about Jazz in threads that have nothing to do with him speaks volumes. Yup, you are lovin' Jazz. Sssp....Hey you wanna know a secret? 1.2. Loves Jazz. |

| Iron Eagle | Posted 5/31/2007 8:50:15 AM | show profile one2three - they could cast you as a gimp warthog with mad cow disease rampaging through the low pines chasing this black bear nammed Olbermann - sort of like the Fugitive except more sinister. |
| djnvip | Posted 4/24/2008 2:38:54 PM | show profile | email poster Saw the first segment of The Alaska Experiment this week, and I commend the producer, director...everyone involved with this project. Having read the story of the Alaska Wilderness Family, a man and wife that raised 7 children, over a 24 year period in the deepest bush and on the Alaskan seas, this is the first survival reality series that I have seen that is truly exciting!!! Anyone that enjoys Alaska survival stories should read "One Wave At a Time", or go to www.alaskawildernessfamily.com and meet those who have done it. Ricochet...GREAT JOB and looking forward to the next segment. |
| notprivileged | Posted 4/24/2008 3:57:03 PM | show profile I can't wait for this segment to air! I was reading about the previous cast members and I can't wait to see how the new four groups work together. I live in an area where it gets to 30 degrees below and it takes my breath away. The moisture freezes as soon as I inhale! It's the wind that is so treacherous. I am very careful. I watch the weather real close in the winter months. I have been terrorized on many occaisons. I've gotta say though....I can't imagine anything below -40 degrees. Three months in the in Icy Bay on the coast of the upper Chitina River in the interior. Woohoo! Lodging was a simple trapper's cabin, only equipped with guns and limited provisions consisting of dry food. Yikes! I wonder what the new situation will be like? "Winter in Icy Bay provides very real challenges, including temperature drops between 10 and 30 degrees, dwindling daylight (four to five hours a day in December), and furious storms with horizontal rain and sleet driven by winds up to 150 mph." Sounds like home to me, only my living conditions are alot nicer! :) This is going to be a great show! I missed the first segment. Rats. But I am going to look out for this one. Someone let me know if you get wind of when it is airing. |
