I'm moving into the freelance world in a 2 months, I can't decide whether I should charge per hour or per project. Can anyone out there give me some advice?

my 2 cents
If I work at home, I find it easier to figure out how many hours a particular project will take me, add a few more hours just to be safe, and then come up with a $ amount for that project. Companies like that b/c they know exactly how much a project will cost and they can budget for it.

If I work physically at a company, I prefer to get paid per hour and that's usually how they do it anyway. It's usually on a week to week or month to month basis, unless you sign up for longer via an agency. Hope that helped!
