Topic: how to pitch a film review

| PW | Posted 6/12/2007 9:11:11 PM | show profile Hey all, I'm trying to write freelance film reviews for an alternative weekly, and an editor told me I'd have to pitch a couple of film reviews and explain my angle. I know what an angle is, and I know how to pitch, but I've never done this for a film review. Can anyone offer advice? This seems kind of odd to me. |

| dribbledrive1 | Posted 6/13/2007 12:21:09 AM | show profile It strikes me as a really odd request. Personally, if I was really interested in doing this, and thought he was request was genuine rather than a semi-blow-off, I'd ask if I could just write a review on spec. I think it would be easier than tryng to pitch it. --Hey all, I'm trying to write freelance film reviews for an alternative weekly, and an editor told me I'd have to pitch a couple of film reviews and explain my angle.
