Did you have postpartum depression at least 5 years ago? If you or someone you know has experienced and overcome PPD at least five years ago, and are willing to be interviewed, please contact me offboard. Thanks.

How important is that 5 years? I had pretty serious ppd (intrusive violent thoughts, suicidal thoughts, family history of depression, etc.) but it was only 4 years ago.

Time not as vital as perspective
The five years is arbitrary. I simply want to connect with mothers who have some emotional time and distance from the time of "recovery." A few years probably assures that there is some perspective about the experience and -- this is the most important part -- they are able to articulate how/if they think PPD has affected them. I'm not looking for the stock, "Oh I was a mess, but now I'm fine and I love being a mom and everything's dandy."
