| HisGirlFriday | Posted 7/1/2007 11:00:38 PM | show profile How important is that 5 years? I had pretty serious ppd (intrusive violent thoughts, suicidal thoughts, family history of depression, etc.) but it was only 4 years ago. |

I simply want to connect with mothers who have some emotional time and distance from the time of "recovery." A few years probably assures that there is some perspective about the experience and -- this is the most important part -- they are able to articulate how/if they think PPD has affected them. I'm not looking for the stock, "Oh I was a mess, but now I'm fine and I love being a mom and everything's dandy." |
