| enitsp | Posted 7/2/2007 12:03:20 PM | show profile Why is everything on this forum publishing/editing related? Where is all the beginner TV/Film related talk? On a completely unrelated note, it smells like roasted marshmallows in my office right now. |
| Bee News | Posted 7/2/2007 3:41:42 PM | show profile agreed I totally agree and while I would suggest TV postings possibly go up on the TV News Corner bulletin... let's face it - that bulletin is pointless these days. I personally am filled with tv/ film questions and would love to be able to find some answers... Hmmm.. maybe it is time to hit up the MB suggestion box for a new board? |
| enitsp | Posted 7/2/2007 4:10:04 PM | show profile I mean that all the talk on the beginner forum is pretty much nothing but publishing/editing/writing (whatever you want to call). Nothing against the starving young writers out there, but pretty much every topic I see here is about people from the west coast trying to see if they'll make it in NYC, or the best way to pitch ideas to publishing companies. Whereas I see nothing about recent grads and their crazy PA stories, directors barking up your ass because you didn't get the coffee the right way, having to run all the uptown and downtown to find a couch for a set, or how many times one can be at B&H in a given day (my highest is 3, about 9 times in one week :P ) |

| writesonwater | Posted 7/10/2007 11:48:00 PM | show profile Speaking of roasted marshmallows Speaking of roasted marshmallows, one of the best smells in the world IMHO, I discovered that the Starbucks sugarfree cinnamon dulce shot in a latte tastes like roasted marshmallows. Sort of slightly burnt in a nice way, like the crackly top on creme brulee. Yum. |
| dribbledrive1 | Posted 7/11/2007 3:29:07 AM | show profile This web site is primarily aimed at writers/editorial people and they make up the great bulk of forum participants. Occasionally, you'll see a TV journalist here, but they tend to be the minority. |
