Hi: Can someone give me some suggestions on ahow to write a successful query letter to submit to Parents magazine? The story is of a medical issue (children who wear braces on their legs).

Thanks SO MUCH!

The thing to remember with Parents is that if you've never written for a big national before, they will only start you off on front-of-the-book stories (300-words or so). So think about which fob section your story would work for. Your query letter should include the thrust of the story (ie why run this story now and what new angle are you offering), as well as names of the parents and experts you would be talking with. Good luck.
