There was a post put up where people were arguing that it's not unethical for writers to pitch stories to editors from publicists. I think its a gray area because publicists then expect writers to deliver. The most ethical thing is for a writer to have the magazine pay for a hotel stay, product, concert or activity and then write about it, obviously. |
