I've done a ton of research on this, but haven't found quite what I'm looking for. I've been a freelancer for years, and now have an interview for a staff position at a publishing company that publishes three national women's magazines. Being a freelancer, I'm used to working independently and have never been involved in the day-to-day publishing world. Are there certain questions that always come up in EA interviews or questions that I should ask? For example, I saw one Website that says the interviewee should ask when press/deadline week is. I'm already aware that I should talk about their magazines; I'm well-informed about what they publish; however, I tend to think there are general "industry" questions or lingo that always come up. I don't want to sound like a neophyte! (Even though I am!) Many thanks for any information. |
