| questoo1 | Posted 7/19/2007 3:40:01 PM | show profile amazing how important Lance Armstrong was to cycling, seems like such an afterthought now. Does David Beckham have a shot of making soccer a mainstream sport here (in the media sense)? I doubt it. |
| seeattleme | Posted 7/19/2007 6:07:42 PM | show profile yeah and what a joke. every person lance has beat had addmitted to using. This tour is a good half mile behind--it's the first one that might actually be clean. and no one is watching. |
| onmyown | Posted 7/19/2007 7:57:43 PM | show profile Sure! I knew the Tour de France was going on ... but only because they showed a clip on the news of one of the bikers crashing his bike into a dog! True! |
| dribbledrive1 | Posted 7/19/2007 9:16:45 PM | show profile No. --Does David Beckham have a shot of making soccer a mainstream sport here (in the media sense)?-- |
| keltoi | Posted 7/19/2007 10:29:52 PM | show profile oui. |
| Bleak Spouse | Posted 7/19/2007 10:36:53 PM | show profile of course. i love the tour de france. not only am i watching it, i'm reporting on it. This is the first year in a while where the winner is likely to be simply the best climber rather than the best climber and time trialist, because nobody stands out as being great at both the way Armstrong and almost every other Tour winner has been. Rasmussen of Denmark has a very good chance of winning even though he's a horrible time trialist because he's the best climber and should dominate in the Pyrenees. I think the one rider who has a chance of beating him is Kloden. |
| ManhattanMatt | Posted 7/20/2007 1:38:03 AM | show profile I've been putting it in the sports block of MY show ... !!! |
