Barrelhouse, a literary magazine based in Washington, DC, is accepting submissions for its second annual Pop Culture Essay Contest! The editors are looking for great creative nonfiction with a pop culture slant.

Winner will receive $150 and publication in print issue six. One runner-up will be published in the online edition.

The contest deadline is October 31, 2007. $7 per entry. Please submit work on the online submissions manager at www.barrelhousemag.com.
