Don't have to be media related...just wondering which boards Bistro people frequent and what draws them to those boards specifically.

I'm basically a "one-board-at-a-time" guy for posting. So, for now this board is it, with perhaps a quarterly check on malesurvivor.org. In years past there was only one other I tried out for 9 months: www.uspoliticsonline.com. Ended the day after the Nov. '04 election.

I'm 50/50 split on not returning to this board, because I am evaluating what I get out of posting/reading here. The malesurvivor board is personal and actually too depressing to frequent more than 'periodically' considering where I am in life (15 years after recovery.)

The uspolitics board was quite an active discussion base for the time. It was a good mix of all sides of the political fence in '04, which kept rants fairly balanced on both sides imo. After Bush little won '04, I realized there was no point to continue discussing the topic - so I left.

This is my board of choice because, with some exceptions, it's a pretty smart crowd where, if you're lucky, you can get pretty good discussions going sometimes, and the posts remain rather than disappear in a few minutes.

I took a brief look at AOL and other such BBs and they were chaotic screaming matches, often engaged in by folks not too high up the evolutionary ladder.
