... to spend more time with family. C'mon, can't he think of a better excuse than that the dog ate his homework?

O Happy Day
I am SO sick of seeing his porcine little face standing beside whoever's got the indictment du jour and his grubby little fingerprints on questionable ballots everywhere.

His only son's in college now and Karl decides to "spend more time with him"? Please.

Can we indict him now?

Resigning now is not going to save his sorry ass. When Bush comes to shove, it is going to be Rove who takes the fall, it will not matter if he is no longer part of the administration, his dirty deeds will follow him where ever he goes...which if there is still any shred of justice left in America, will see his ass in a purty bright orange jumpsuit for at least a good 25 years, no parole.

"When Bush comes to shove" - HA! :)

Good riddance to him and his evil ways. But his practices will undoubtedly remain and continue to influence the White House. And his legacy of lies and underhanded ways remain.

Gearing up for election season
I think he's leaving not to spend time with family or to write a book, but rather, to use his evil powers in the Republican presidential campaign. He'll be the puppet master again...we just don't know yet who will be the puppet.

your dreams sound so lovely, Nikon.

Anyway, back to the real world....

Speaking with my wife tonight and we realized: It's obvious Rove is lying through his teeth on his reasons for leaving. But what if Rove is bailing because George and Dick are going to do something so insane that even HE doesn't want to be a part of it?

Got the feeling something big and nasty's coming down soon. My guess: those right wingnuts are gonna bomb Iran.
Iron Eagle Posted – 8/13/2007 10:08:03 PM | show profile
Cheney's primed for a bombing. I think even George is nervous about this one.
Bleak Spouse Posted – 8/13/2007 10:55:31 PM | show profile
There's no way Bush can bomb Iran. They had to build up public support to go into Iraq, and now the public knows it was a sham. Even if Iran actually had plans to attack the U.S. and Bush presented hard evidence before the UN, nobody would believe him. Because he's a lying idiot.

But Bleak, count the number of times Cheney works Iran into the MSM lately--it's increasing by the day. "Iran did this", "Iran did that"--it's the "Let's get Saddam!" playbook all over again, and the MSM is obviously stupid enough to fall for it. Can the American public be far behind?

oh, fuck. You're right.
UGoGirl Posted – 8/14/2007 10:32:57 AM | show profile
keltoi, I wouldn't put it past them to do something incredibly stupid even now, but my guess is that he's leaving (as Winona says) to work on the presidential campaign.

We can hope, ugo. But Dick, George, and the neoclowns handed Iran a big fat prize by taking out Saddam, and they are arrogant enough, stupid enough, and crazy enough to try and "even the score" before leaving office.

They figure the Saudis, Egypt, Jordan and other Sunni Arab states won't protest too loudly to see Persian Shi'ite Iran smacked down And that will just encourage them to do it.

If you skinned Cheney you'd find Kissinger underneath.
Bleak Spouse Posted – 8/14/2007 4:45:57 PM | show profile
They lost all credibility with the Iraq war. Cheney may be trying by constantly talking about Iran, but the only way they could get Americans to believe their bullshit again is...

If they allowed another major terrorist attack in America to get us riled up and gung-ho to invade anywhere.

Heck, Bleak, it worked the first time.
keltoi2 Posted – 8/15/2007 1:35:08 PM | show profile
Heck, bleak, it worked once.

OK--MB is messing with me. My 11:30 PM post did not appear until I just posted the repeat.
