| writesonwater | Posted 8/19/2007 12:28:31 AM | show profile | email poster I am looking for advice/recommendations from authors (with or without small publishing companies) who have books/merchandise for sale. I will need an ecommerce-type website. Any recommendations on what kind of designer to look for to design/maintain it, traps to avoid,, etc? For those who are designers, what should I look for and what will I need to pay? I'm on a budget to start ... |

Am using ZenCart for the Ecommerce Package and PHP Bulletin Board for the BB. I have a designer who's putting it all together and I pay him by the hour. Check out ZenCart. It offers you different 'skins' for your site and it's fairly user friendly. You'll need to learn some basic code (or hire someone who knows this) but it'll give you a very professional looking site. |
