| chucho | Posted 8/21/2007 10:37:23 AM | show profile Why are liberals and Democrats so mean and intolerant? I mean, they claim to be inclusive and open-minded, but then some of them don't want Democrats or liberals who don't think like them to be included in their little elitist club where they sit around uttering fancy college words and looking down on all the real Americans who aren't afraid of terrorists or who coddle them. For example: the Democrats and liberals bitch and moan about people who are pro-life. How inclusive is that? So you have to be a member of the little pro-abortion clique or you get banished. Geez, how tolerant is that? Yeah, right, the Democrats and liberals are so tolerant that they won't even allow people who support wiretapping without warrants into their little club because they don't love terrorists enough. And liberals are mean. Like if you point out to them nicely and realistically that they undeniably hate freedom and love terrorists they'll call you named like "douchebag" or "fuckface". Oh, how exceedingly tolerant and nice liberals are when you're simply trying to help them see the light. Oh, and they're racists too. For example I once said I hated going up to Harlem because I don't know how to play basketball and I was ridiculed by a so-called liberal who made jokes about how I don't like collard greens and fried chicken. What a racist! Why does it always go down to being politically correct? As if white people don't play basketball. How does he know I was even thinking about race? |
| Iron Eagle | Posted 8/21/2007 11:37:16 AM | show profile Chuhco - you have to learn the game. Understand this - you wouldn't be that sensitive if you spent time on the court. There's no place for wimping about. If you've got game you get respect - if you don't be ready to take a lot of ribbing. Either way you grow a thick skin. Why are Democrats mean? They are like any other group of people. They aren't saints or dousing everyone with holy water. They are people. I don't think you have to classify behaviour in groups of people. |

| Iron Eagle | Posted 8/21/2007 2:28:41 PM | show profile Why are republicans oblivious to the world around them? Angela - I think the new media has tapped into a strain of humans that are easily manipulated. Roger Alies and Karl Rove know that just like Rush Limbaugh - Pat Robertson and others. There are those who would love to be led around of leashes all of their lives and find it' comforting! It's the fantasy life... |
| sue ellen mischke | Posted 8/21/2007 2:47:00 PM | show profile I know...sometimes I envy them for not having to care... |
| chucho | Posted 8/21/2007 2:53:46 PM | show profile Crimedog just called conservatives a "strain", like a virus. Or led around with leashes. So we're dogs, right? I rest my case. You liberals are so mean. And how can you call yourself tolerant since obviously you don't tolerate Karl Rove. What? Everyone has to think like you live under your (air quotes) big umbrella (end air quotes). So I guess not everyone is allowed into your elitist club, right? Well, excuse me if I didn't go to some fancy pants liberal arts school in Tax-a-chu-setts. I'm just a down-to-earth straight-talkin' American like Bill O-Reilly that doesn't know nothin' about no red wine or smelly cheeses like you freedom-hating, terrorist coddling liberal hypocrites so out-of-touch with how real Americans live. |
| sue ellen mischke | Posted 8/21/2007 2:56:56 PM | show profile Hahhahaha... Funny... |
| sue ellen mischke | Posted 8/21/2007 3:08:51 PM | show profile To the defense of the republican, I, an ultra-liberal dem, have even been scrutinized by my own kind--and we can be harsh (so can repubs, too). I wrote an article in which liberals tore my statistics apart, claiming I made them up, even though it was supporting a liberal-minded argument in the article. Sometimes our party feels too deeply, and we defensively react...maybe because we're so used to being attacked by red. |
| Iron Eagle | Posted 8/21/2007 4:13:59 PM | show profile Angela, - this isn't the same chucho who posts with much more thought and depth ...this is another one of those vile board trolls co-opting another's ID. If you read the real chucho's posts - he would never defend the indefensible Bill O'Reilly. We have been hit by the plague. Yes, there are strains of humans who only want to hear the government line no matter how misleading and manipulative. Rove and Ailes know this and play them like a cheap lute. |
| Mag Girl | Posted 8/21/2007 4:33:39 PM | show profile Ha, I just thought chucho was being tongue-in-cheek/facetious. |
| sue ellen mischke | Posted 8/21/2007 5:20:32 PM | show profile i am so naive... |
| Iron Eagle | Posted 8/21/2007 5:47:23 PM | show profile This is the operating methods these parasites use. If they can't outwit you they take your name and post the opposite of who you are. Lovely stuff. |
| mad fingers | Posted 8/21/2007 9:15:10 PM | show profile speaking just for me, I'm mean because I can't find work and have had to give up donuts.... |
| UGoGirl | Posted 8/21/2007 11:54:12 PM | show profile Yes, I also thought/think chucho was being a fake-o republican to get his absurd points across... true chucho? |
| seeattleme | Posted 8/22/2007 12:53:34 AM | show profile we're mean because we have to share this planet with you people. |
| chucho | Posted 8/22/2007 3:58:44 AM | show profile (Rolls eyes). Yes, I was be facetious. But I suppose I can see how comments like that can be taken seriously. |
| sue ellen mischke | Posted 8/22/2007 10:13:52 AM | show profile grantigirl is right. we're mean because we feel the need to defend the planet from all the isms, righteousness, ignorance and hypocrisy from the right... |
