What kind of deal does a writer usually get for this---is it 50/50 or 60/40 or 33/33/33 for 2 chefs and the writer?

Also, do most cookbook contracts include royalties, or is the writer usually a work for hire?

And if anyone knows what's typical in terms of the proposal, whether the writer usually writes pretty much the entire thing, and that's included in the percentage, please advise!
