| Magazine Mania | Posted 8/26/2007 11:05:13 AM | show profile | email poster Can anyone recommend a good software option for magazine workflow? I've read about some programs like Softcare that seem to be really good in terms of managing editorial, design and advertising. Any suggestions? Also, have any editors found Adobe InCopy CS3 useful? I'm a magazine editor for a monthly publication. Our team is small, so it's always a struggle getting the magazine out each month by deadline. So...I've been trying to research some options to help us expediate the process in an efficient manner! Please share how your magazine operates. |

| mkelly | Posted 8/27/2007 11:18:52 AM | show profile We moved from Quark, to Adobe InDesign, to using Adobe InCopy as well-- with excellent results. Our production dept. is now freed up from doing a lot of small edit fixes, which the edit department makes more quickly because we have a better sense of what we'd like to do. I can't really speak to how InDesign is better than Quark on the production front, but InCopy is a great tool. |
