What do you call the section in the magazine for instance the "Style File" section of InStyle Magazine. Or in Lucky Magazine the "Shoes of The Month" section.?

Where can I get information as to the terms for the breakdown of a magazine and what each section is generally referred to?

Thanks, don't get mad if you think this is a lame question...

It's not a lame question--you'll probably get better advice if you post this in the beginner's section. I think it's sad when people have to post in fear of having their heads taken off for asking legitimate questions.

I believe you're referring to FOB or Front of Book sections. These are just short sections that feature a brief hodgepodge of articles, usually with a particular theme. Since I don't have those mags at hand, I'm just assuming that's what you're referring to!

I'm not certain its the FOB, as much as a trend feature page or column.
Why don't you look through some of the contents pages and see what sections the stories correspond to. For instance, under Features or "news" , etc.

well they all have different names such as "style" or "random items"...just pages that have products on them with prices.....I was wondering if there is a general term that you can use that refers to any section that is like that, in any magazine.

Sorry, I posted here instead of the "Beginners" section.
Thanks for your help!
