Topic: What to charge top PR Agency?

| eye2eye | Posted 9/5/2007 11:57:14 PM | show profile One of the country's top 5 PR Agencies has asked me to do some freelance work for them... Strategizing, Writing, Pitching etc etc. I'm an experienced, seasoned Writer-Producer who is making the transition from TV work. They want my hourly rate. What should I quote them? I want to ask a fair rate for New York... we are both located in Manhattan. Thanks in advance for all your advice. |
| Cyrus | Posted 9/6/2007 11:28:23 AM | show profile They may balk at paying a flat-rate for both writing and pitching; sometimes those are priced differently, although it's not terribly common. As a rule, you should be able to command about $70 an hour for that kind of work. Of course, they'll pay you based in part on the full rate that they charge their clients, so if they don't charge the going rate of say $170-$200, they may not pay you the referenced amount. But it's a good starting point. ------ Cyrus Afzali Astoria Communications www.astoriacomm.com |
