Hi all,

I've tried many places and hoping someone can help me figure out a good place to pitch a personal essay I wrote a few years ago but was well-received in my class.

It's about my visit to the Holocaust Museum a few months after finishing a thesis on a Holocaust-related topic. It's about the profound effect the visit had on me, while also closing that chapter of my life. It's both a travel essay but personal journey.

I haven't had luck with any place I have submitted it so far, so if anyone has an idea, please let me know!

First of all...
You're probably going to have to go to the museum again, as in the last couple months. It may not be the same as you remembered and it's not good to pass off old pieces as being recent. And no editor is going to buy a dated piece.

So you will have to rework it and rewrite/revise it.

As for a "market," you should read more travel sections to see who buys essays and who doesn't.
