I've always wanted to share it and get it off my chest and that might help to bring closure to the event that occured approximately 4 years ago. I imagine with this controvoursey about campus police going too far with the taser incident, maybe there are studies going on related to over zealous police officers and stuff.

I'd kind of like to tell my story

Don't tase me, bro!
I was that rent-a-cop 4 years ago! I remember taking your pinko butt to the ground and laying a taser blast to your sphincter muscle. You deserved every twitch inducing volt. Sure looked like you tightened up, but I hope this finally gives you closure.

tell it
no doubt there are studies (and stories) to be done. whether it'll make any difference is another question. (hey, in 2004 i wrote a piece in a national paper about blackwater and all of the people, close observers, who had very serious reservations about its role.)

my own college kid, just shy of 20, got a "minor in possession" charge not long ago for having unopened beer in his car. he was handcuffed bu campus police. his car was impounded and damaged overnight (to the tune of several hundred bucks) while being vigorously searched for other contraband, of which there was none.

sounds like you maybe had more serious issues.

It happens.
As a recent college, grad, there was an incident involving tasering at my university where a fight broke out amongst two or three locals (adults, not students). Six students unrelated to the incident were arrested while the original trouble-makers were never identified, to my knowledge. A student who was tasered twice in the chest did not have the tasers removed from their torso for several hours while he bled through his shirt. Three of the students were found not guilty of charges, and at least two of the others recieved lesser charges.
