| UGoGirl | Posted – 9/25/2007 9:30:42 AM | show profile Ahmadinejad and the Canadian dollar. Ahmadinejad may have a couple of good points, but he's a lunatic. No gays in Iran? Right. Still, his visit here highlights what are two of the best things about America (at least in theory): freedom of speech and separation of church and state. Let the wacko talk. The other loonie, the Candian dollar, reached parity with the US dollar for the first time in several decades. Meanwhile the dollar is at record low against the Euro, etc. etc. Because we make so little crap here in the US anymore, this means almost everything we buy will be more expensive (especially energy) as the dollar continues to fall. |

Interesting that the Iranian (titular) head of state is not afraid to confront a hostile audience in very Jewish NYC USA, while a certain closer-to-home (titular) head of state hasn't the balls to face an audience of anything but handpicked loyalists. |
