I've supplied editorial content online for over 10 years, have a prolific track record and there are many online editors who give me glowing praise..but I never got paid (ahhh...the byline was supposed to be the reward!).
Now, since I can't seem to get a job in an office (I'm overqualified and underquaified at the same time), I need to earn a real living as a writer of online content, feature articles, interviews, profiles, event reporting..YOU NAME IT...Problem is, I can't find anyone who is willing to PAY. I'm good, I'm responsible, I get the job done and I have a great style when it comes to writing copy...am I looking in the wrong places?..any suggestions?..

Do you mean you have been unable to find paying pubs to approach? Or have you approached paying pubs and found them non-responsive?

The first issue is easier to deal with, because there are all sorts of marketplace listings. Just start googling and you should find lots of info.

Check out the freelance writing jobs blog
This blog (http://www.writersrow.com/deborahng/) only lists paying gigs, and it can be competitive, but I've gotten work through these listings.
