My understanding is that a Market Editor is responsible for pulling clothes for photo shoots and determining which trends are hot for the season. Is that correct? If a market editor pulls clothes for the magazine, then what would the photo shoot stylist do? Would the stylist only be responsible for styling on set? Would they work together to determine which clothes are pulled and from which designers? Now, a Booking Editor, their sole responsibility is to book models, correct? Or do they also hire all of the other freelancers involved with the photo shoot (hair, MU, etc)? Last question... is most styling done in house at a fashion magazine? We've always used freelance stylists who dealt with concepts, hiring models, pulling clothes, pretty much everything having to do with the photo shoot. But now, we're thinking of bringing all of that in house (hence the questions). And just having a freelance stylist on set. Thoughts? Advice? Details? Thanks! |

She's responsible for developing concepts, styling the shoots, and editing content? And the market editor and booking editor both report to her, correct? Does anyone else have any further insight or information that I should be aware of? |
