Will it ever stop? Will the days of Bill O'Reilly b!tch slapping Olbermann in the ratings ever end? O'Reilly is a schmuck for sure, but GOOBERMANN makes a schmucky O'Reilly seem like a drink of fresh water.

What is with GOOBERMANN? Really? Is he actually this clueless? Or is it just MSNBC's policy to put losers on?

O'Reilly Beotch Slaps Olbermann
Ain't it funny how the Keef lovers were all over the board when he beat O'Reilly in the DEMO on ONE(1) day and yet has never done it again...........and won't either.

Get a clue
"Or is it just MSNBC's policy to put losers on?"

From the MSNBC Q3 press release:

"Countdown with Keith Olbermann" (8:00 - 9:00 p.m. ET) continues its amazing growth surge, up +73% in total viewers (744,000 v. 429,000) and +56% in the adult demo (266,000 v. 170,000) while CNN dropped -11% in total viewers (649,000 v. 728,000) and Fox News Channel was basically flat +1% in total viewers (2,102,000 v. 2,073,000).

Yeah, what a loser and what a losing strategy. Glad to see the surge working for Faux News, though. That's a breath of fresh air right there.

How can one spend more than thirty seconds watching O'Reilly whine. It's boring!

frank - I understand the demo - over 70 - no teeth and tapioca for dinner.

WTF
As far as I remember, Olbermann only talked about his one day victory in the ratings once and in his "other news" segment. It wasn't until Bill-O kept going on about it that Olbermann mentioned it again. Lufah boy just wouldn't let the story die. Kind of like his surprise that "blacks in Harlem can actually behave like people" story. Bill wouldn't shut up about it, and that's the reason the story wouldn't die. Not to mention Bill exaggerates his ratings. I think last month again he claimed the factor still gets 4 million a night. Which I suppose is true only if you add up the live show, plus both replays.

Morning Joe
Not that Keef was the only one taking curtin calls for the one(1) day win in what "pup" calls the old people Demo...but Joe Scarborough went on at length about Keith's big win...
When should we look for a repeat??...if he can't do it with Hillary as his guest...it ain't ever going to happen.

Recent history
Since July, Bill hasn't beaten Olbermann by 4 times in the key demo once. In fact, he's only beaten Countdown by a factor of four in households twice in that time. In both instances, O'Reilly was hosting and Keith wasn't.
Key demo since July, Bill has beaten Olbermann by 3 times only once. He's at least doubled Olbermann's ratings 17 times in the last four months. Almost all when Olbermann wasn't on the show. Keith was originally hired to host the second hour of Countdown: Iraq on March 28th, 2003. The show since dropped the Iraq subtitle and becoming Countdown with Keith Olbermann. So, Keith has been able to average about a third of Bill's overall ratings so far this month, meaning Keith has been able to a third of what Bill has done in less that a quarter the time.

Keith's show has guts and class while O'Reilly's a weeper looking for sympathy. Anyone with a brain or courage are treated as scum by BOR. He's beats up on the best and brightest because he's a lowly slug.

Soooo....when Bill beats Keef by only 50 or 60%
that is somehow a Lib win?????....he had Hillary on Thursday and still lost by a ton!

What is Bill winning? Who wants his audience of plump zombies and refried brains.

O'Reilly's success
Now I admit Bill O'Reilly's success is undeniable. He has been getting the highest ratings on cable news for a while now. But his claims that he doesn't America doesn't like or approve of "haters" is a bit wrong. After all, the biggest hater on TV hosts the highest rated show on cable news. After all, what's been the biggest stories and constants among his show? Evil, horrible liberals are destroying this country. He rages fear and hatred against liberals, homosexuals, liberals, immigrants, anyone who critisizes him or the country, and liberals just to name a few. Bill's fans tend to be the angry, over-patriotic, child minded, naive fools. The type of people who want to just sit around in their chairs bitching about the problems in the world, and how America has never done anything wrong.

O'Reilly is a girly boy who whines and whimpers about the thoughts and deeds of good people. Satan couldn't fine better messengers than O'Reilly, Coulter and Limbaugh. If there is a hell these three will be cooked for eternity.

Hey Newfrickinshow....
How can ya be over patriotic?
newfrickinshow Posted – 10/15/2007 8:04:08 AM | show profile
Its called "ethnocentrism"
In many ways it's the same as what happens when a person becomes overly relgious. The Islamic suicide bombers in the Middle East. IOveractive patriotism got really intense after 9/11, as it usually increases during a time of significant trauma. People run to their government or a charismatic leader to protect them from the enemy. People become obstinate and stubborn, afraid of differences and outsiders. An enemy is often created, real or merely perceived.

Thus a desire to maintain the status quo and traditional values. It's how Hitler came to power during The Great Depression. It is why no one was willing to question their religious leaders during the Salem Witch Trials. It makes people believe their government or its leaders shouldn't be questioned. People begin supporting their government doing things that they would otherwise be aghast about. I think even the craziest among neo-cons believe accused terrorists should at least have the opportunity to stand trial and prove themselves not terrorists. A growing number of people in this country have decided that our government can do basically whatever it wants to in the name of protecting our principles. Forgetting however that the main and most basic of our founding principles is that government can't do whatever it wills.

Over-patriotism can be dangerous. Sinclair Lewis once wrote, "If fascism ever comes to America, it will come wrapped in the flag, carrying the cross." Overpatriotism means you've stopped becoming a supporter and have became a zealot.

JFK VS. Sinclair Lewis
Why quote a 1930's lib author when you could use the best definition of patriotism ever written......

"Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, in order to assure the survival and the success of liberty.

This much we pledge - and more."

If this is "Wrapping yourself in the flag"....count me in"
Iron Eagle Posted – 10/15/2007 9:29:48 AM | show profile
Wrapping oneself in the flag and wearing blinders is what others have referred too. It's not asking the questions - being led into bogus wars and giving up liberties for lapel pins and state euphoria. It's a destructive narcotic that has ruined many a nation!
