Question from a longtime journalist -- but always in newspapers: I recently had a first-person essay published in a national magazine. Has anyone had luck reselling something to Readers Digest? Do they take pitches for this sort of thing, or do they scan mags themselves for reprints? (The HTP on Readers Digest is three years old, FYI!) Thanks...

Their website says that they usually scoop them themselves, but it can't hurt trying.

Yes, you can send in a piece and ask if they want to reprint it. It's a long shot, but you never know.
